Subcutaneous (SubQ) injections are administered just beneath the skin into a small layer of fatty tissue — the abdomen, outer thigh, or back of the upper arm are common sites. The needle is very fine and short, making the process virtually painless for most patients. Your RN will walk you through every step during your training session so you feel completely confident before administering at home.
