High Dose Vitamin C
Immune defense, collagen synthesis, and antioxidant protection — delivered at concentrations only achievable through intravenous administration.
Vitamin C at therapeutic concentrations — a different category entirely
Oral Vitamin C is limited by intestinal absorption — most people can absorb only 200–500mg before the excess is excreted. Intravenous Vitamin C bypasses this ceiling entirely, achieving plasma concentrations 50–100 times higher than oral supplementation can produce.
At these concentrations, Vitamin C acts as a powerful pro-oxidant in addition to its antioxidant role — selectively generating hydrogen peroxide in cancer cells while leaving healthy tissue unharmed. It also plays a critical role in collagen synthesis, immune cell production, and the regeneration of other antioxidants including glutathione and Vitamin E.
At HydraSpa, our High Dose Vitamin C infusion is used for general immune support, anti-aging protocols, and as part of our integrative oncology program. Each session is clinically supervised and customized to your health history and goals.

Common questions
- What dose of Vitamin C is in this infusion?
- Our standard High Dose Vitamin C infusion delivers 15–25g of Vitamin C. For integrative oncology protocols, doses of 25g, 50g, and 75g are available. The appropriate dose is determined based on your health history and goals.
- Is high dose Vitamin C IV safe?
- Yes, for most people. All patients are required to complete lab work and receive medical clearance before their first High Dose Vitamin C infusion. We screen for G6PD deficiency, as this enzyme deficiency can cause adverse reactions at high doses. Our clinical team reviews your health history at every visit.
- How long does the infusion take?
- A 15–25g infusion takes approximately 60–90 minutes. Higher doses used in oncology protocols (50–75g) take 2–3 hours and are administered at a controlled rate.
- How does IV Vitamin C differ from oral Vitamin C?
- Oral Vitamin C is limited to approximately 200–500mg of absorption before the excess is excreted. IV Vitamin C achieves plasma concentrations 50–100 times higher, enabling therapeutic effects that oral supplementation simply cannot produce.
- Can I use High Dose Vitamin C alongside chemotherapy?
- Many integrative oncology patients use high-dose IV Vitamin C alongside conventional treatment. We work collaboratively with your oncology team and require your current treatment summary before beginning a cancer support protocol.
