Lymphatic Massage with Microcurrent
Manual lymphatic drainage paired with clinical-grade microcurrent therapy — a synergistic session that moves stagnant fluid, reduces inflammation, and accelerates the body's natural detoxification and healing processes.
Two powerful modalities. One synergistic session.
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a specialized massage technique that uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system — the body's primary waste-removal network. When the lymphatic system is sluggish or overwhelmed, fluid accumulates in tissues, inflammation increases, and the body's ability to clear metabolic waste and immune byproducts is compromised.
Our Lymphatic Massage pairs MLD with concurrent microcurrent therapy — applying clinical-grade microcurrent to stimulate lymphatic vessel contraction, improve tissue conductivity, and enhance circulation at the cellular level. This combination amplifies the drainage effect beyond what manual technique alone can achieve, producing measurable reductions in puffiness, inflammation, and post-procedure swelling.
The result is a treatment that works on two levels simultaneously: the mechanical level (moving fluid through manual drainage) and the bioelectric level (stimulating cellular activity and lymphatic vessel function through microcurrent). Together, they create a synergistic effect that is greater than either modality alone.
The science behind the session
- Manual Lymphatic Drainage
- Gentle, rhythmic strokes applied in the direction of lymphatic flow — stimulating the superficial lymphatic vessels to move stagnant fluid toward the lymph nodes for processing and elimination.
- Concurrent Microcurrent
- Clinical-grade microcurrent is applied simultaneously to stimulate lymphatic vessel contraction, improve tissue conductivity, and enhance circulation at the cellular level — amplifying the drainage effect.
- Inflammation Reduction
- As lymphatic flow improves and cellular activity is stimulated, inflammatory mediators are cleared more efficiently — reducing puffiness, swelling, and systemic inflammation.
- Cellular Detoxification
- Improved lymphatic flow supports the body's natural detoxification pathways — clearing metabolic waste, immune byproducts, and post-procedure debris from tissues.
Choose your session
40 Minutes
Targeted lymphatic drainage and microcurrent for the face and neck — reduces puffiness, lifts contour, improves skin clarity and tone, and accelerates post-procedure healing.
60 Minutes
Full-body lymphatic drainage with microcurrent — supports systemic detoxification, reduces inflammation, and accelerates post-procedure or post-injury recovery throughout the body.
What it may support
- Reduced puffiness and facial swelling
- Accelerated post-procedure and post-surgical recovery
- Improved skin tone, clarity, and contour
- Support for systemic detoxification
- Reduced inflammation throughout the body
- Relief from post-injury swelling and fluid retention
- Improved circulation and lymphatic flow
- Support for immune system function
- No downtime — return to normal activity immediately
Individual results vary. Lymphatic massage with microcurrent is a wellness treatment and is not intended to replace post-surgical medical care. Always consult your surgeon before beginning post-procedure lymphatic drainage.
How often should you get lymphatic massage?
- Post-procedure recovery (cosmetic surgery, liposuction, BBL): 2–3 sessions per week for the first 2–3 weeks
- Post-injury or post-surgical swelling: weekly until swelling resolves
- General detoxification and wellness: monthly or as needed
- Facial lymphatic drainage for skin health: every 2–4 weeks
- As part of a post-op recovery program: integrated into your treatment plan
- Our clinical team will recommend a protocol based on your procedure and recovery goals
Who benefits most from this treatment?
- Individuals recovering from cosmetic surgery (rhinoplasty, facelift, liposuction, BBL, tummy tuck)
- Those experiencing post-procedure swelling, bruising, or fluid retention
- People recovering from injury, trauma, or orthopedic surgery
- Individuals with chronic inflammation or lymphedema
- Those seeking facial depuffing, contouring, and improved skin clarity
- Clients supporting their body through a detoxification protocol
- Anyone experiencing chronic puffiness, fluid retention, or sluggish lymphatic flow
- Clients pairing lymphatic drainage with IV therapy for comprehensive recovery support
Common questions
- How is this different from a regular massage?
- Standard massage targets muscle tissue using deeper pressure. Lymphatic drainage uses very light, rhythmic strokes specifically designed to stimulate the superficial lymphatic vessels — which lie just beneath the skin. Too much pressure actually collapses the lymphatic vessels and reduces effectiveness. The addition of microcurrent further differentiates this treatment by working at the bioelectric level to stimulate lymphatic vessel contraction and cellular activity.
- When should I start lymphatic massage after surgery?
- For most cosmetic procedures, lymphatic drainage can begin 48–72 hours post-surgery, once the surgical team has cleared you for soft tissue work. Starting early — within the first week — produces the best outcomes for swelling reduction and recovery speed. We recommend consulting with your surgeon before your first session.
- Will the session be painful?
- No. Lymphatic drainage uses very gentle pressure — it should never be uncomfortable. The microcurrent component is imperceptible. If you are post-surgical and have areas of sensitivity, our therapist will work around them and adjust pressure accordingly.
- How many sessions will I need after surgery?
- For most cosmetic procedures, we recommend 6–10 sessions over the first 3–4 weeks post-surgery for optimal swelling reduction and scar tissue management. The exact number depends on the procedure, your body's response, and your surgeon's recommendations. Many clients continue monthly sessions for ongoing maintenance.
- Can I combine this with IV therapy?
- Yes — and it is a highly effective combination. IV nutritional support (particularly our Post-Op IV or Glutathione drip) paired with lymphatic drainage creates a comprehensive recovery protocol: the IV delivers anti-inflammatory nutrients and antioxidants at the cellular level while the lymphatic session clears waste and reduces swelling at the tissue level.
